I have a Groundhog from Build a Bear workshop and he will be visiting tomorrow. His name is Phil of course and he even has a cute saying when you squeeze him. The kids are going to love him!

Here is a Shadow Writing page in his honor. The kids just try their darndest to copy the writing like a shadow below the sentence. Enjoy!
Please leave me a comment if you download this! Thank you!

Super cute, thanks. I like the different punctuation marks. Im going to use this for Groundhog's Day. Thanks for sharing!
Cindy,
Thank you so much! Last week was the first time I did the shadow writing --and loved it--great learning opportunities!
Have a great week!
Chris
So glad you both liked it! Thanks for the comment :)
I did the shadow writing last week as well. I LOVED the learning the kids got from this! I teach part-time kinder and many kinders are reverting to capitals when copying and it was a great opportunity to catch this! Please make more!
Our theme for the next two weeks is Shadows,so this is perfect. My kinders need practice copying as well. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing. I love the Shadow Writing ideas. I too have Kinders who LOVE the random upper case letter in the middle of sentence. I hope this will help them.
Thanks so much for the shadow writing! I love those!!!
lovely, I really love it! congrats for the blog! Keep up work
I just wanted to let you know that you inspired me to try more partner work in my room this week! I have some advanced kiddos that could really help others who are struggling! I'm going to give them a partner each day and they will work with them throughout the day! I found this great idea that I'm going to use to introduce the expectations....
G- give thoughtful feedback
R-respect others and their thoughts
O- on task all the time
U- Use soft voices
P- participate actively
S- stay with your group
Just thought I'd share!
Thank you again for the shadow writing worksheets. They are wonderful!
